Ugly beach house

I am the owner of an ugly beach house that was a dyi convert from a cottage to a duplex all that's misssing to complete the picture are a broken washer and upholstered couch on the front porch. I foolishly purchased at the height of the market and renovation funds are close to nil, but I think I need to do something to enhance its outside appearance to attract renters to the first floor unit. There is a unit up and one down, as well as a bunk house in the back.
